Do you guys ever....
Just stand back and look at where they’ve come from and the progress that has been made? I’m nearing the final details of this phase of the build in my K20.(fix all the floor and lower body rust, rebuild transfer case and transmission, fix all the previous owners’ Jerry rigging, just get it to be an overall reliable truck) I’ve moved it around inside the shop on it’s own power a little bit over the last few months but today was the first time I’ve had it outside in the light and really taken it for any kind of a spin. I made a couple laps around the parking lot in the back of the shop. It’s was quite rewarding to just drive it around for the first time since February 2017. The paint still looks terrible and it’s still waiting on the 6.0 swap but it’s sure come a long long ways since March 2015 when I bought it from Kevin (undertaker72). I hope everyone is enjoying there builds as much as I am! Pending corona restrictions I’m hoping to have it registered on June 8th.
Just to show how far down I took it, the frame picture is from March 2017.

Re: Do you guys ever....
I lack bleeding brakes and topping off fluids once she comes back from paint of being able to drive it for the first time. It has been off the road and in pieces since 1992. On one hand I am very excited and on the other I have some anxiety over "did I do that right?" I just made my "final" parts list and plan to place that order in the next week or so. I remember flipping through parts catalogs needing multiple parts off of each page! It is rewarding to see what you have built for sure.

Yes. I often look at my '72 K2500 and think how far down hill it's gone since I bought it . I have a photographic history year by year!

Well Tim, I hadn’t thought of it that way but when you own the same one for a long time that does happen... my 98 K2500 definitely has changed for the worse over the last 10 years. Time and the toll it takes can be a real pain sometimes!

Re: Do you guys ever....
Mine has suffered cosmetically and benefitted mechanically. 19 years last weekend. I like it better with the lift and tires, different motor, and aged look. But looking forward to going major with it at some point. Like when I have another to drive. I'd like to repair the rocker rust before all that. It would look as good as it used to except the paint is messing up. It get's a hairline split in it, starts curling and lifting until it pops off down to GM black primer. Mostly the hood, so I want to strip it and paint it, hopefully this summer
I built a little one car garage to put my '67 project in so I can finally make something out of that. We're working on getting my son's Ranger gone first... soon. I built around it.
