69 C-10 Check-In
Hi All. I have been trying to get access for months and finally Liz hooked me up. Thanks Liz.
I have a 69 C-10 that has been in the family forever. I took it over when I was 17 and immediately looked into drag racing. I always wanted a stock looking sleeper and something totally streetable. The truck has been through several revolutions and I performed all the work from transmission changes, rebuild, and upgrades to the engine rebuilds. I must say while the mechanical side is easy-ish, I cannot do body work. The truck is primer grey and has been a few different colors of primer. The truck has not been driven since marriage some years ago. I am looking to get her back on the road again and am slowly replacing things. Motor still runs like a top and I start it frequently. Brakes are the next thing to tackle. Upgrading to front disks via Summit/CPP brake kit with 73+ spindles. Looking forward to getting back into the truck again. Might even go back to a manual trans eventually. See you guys soon. Jason |
