Where to buy the big square body shims

Like the title asks Where to buy the big square body shims in different thicknesses. I can find plenty of panel shims but not the big square body mount shims?

Thanks
Mark

It doesn't say size anywhere but I think those are fender or cowl shims not the big body shims

This particular one is: Steel Body Shim; 1/8" Thick. 3/8" Slot. 1-1/4" x 1-1/8"

I figured they had an assortment available though.

Mcmaster Carr has these which are close to the size you stated.

Re: Where to buy the big square body shims

Thanks for the suggestions and links.

I am going to try and measure the actual size of the ones already in my Blazer. Really would like some original ones.

Re: Where to buy the big square body shims

Where are they being used? The large cab mount bushing? I am pretty sure that they factory didn't use different thickness washers or shims. Once the cab was basically dropped on the frame everything else got adjusted to match the cab. GM manufacturing processes were meant to be quick so having a bunch of shims to try and align the cab perfectly didn't make financial sense.
Now in the 50 or so years sense some could have been added after an accident or for other reasons
My Burban had no shims installed when I replaced the body mounts on it. (See my nice collection of rust!) As long as the body on a Suburban is GM saw there was no need for shims. So I can't see how a truck cab would need them from the factory. Unless the body mount was bent during assembly and needed to be cobbled up to get it out of the door.
Now I could be wrong if someone knows for sure please correct my theory.

Could be a Blazer thing due to the removeable top? I have had 3 Blazers and they all had the same big square shims. It is called out in the assembly manual to get the windshield frame to door gaps right.

Re: Where to buy the big square body shims

I've never had a big Blazer so I know even less than usual.
You might try reposting in the Blazer section, or have a Moderator move your thread.
Good luck.

Re: Where to buy the big square body shims

I tried taking a picture and measuring it but it is in a tight spot. As I said I have had the same square body mount shims on 3 separate Blazer and Jimmy vehicles.

Re: Where to buy the big square body shims

They were installed on some C10's also.

I only have one left and was wondering about sources also.

EDIT; As far as I can tell, they were installed on an as needed basis.
