Re: Wiring?

I like to use factory unmolested GMT800 engine harness & fusebox, They fit VERY well in square bodies with a little fabrication to mount the fusebox & PCM.

I guess I would like to see how you wired up the main loom to the truck and how you fused it to the vehicle. Did you use a wiring block to separate your hot terminals?

Re: Wiring?

I used a PSI harness..all I had to hook up from the truck side was constant 12v , switch on 12v, and the grounds..i got 12v constant from the junction block on the firewall, and 12v switch on from the wire that used to go to the hei..
I ran the harness thru the firewall behind the driverside head..the ecm is under the dash , above the ac unit..
The PSI harness has it's own fuse block..
I also used electric fans so the relays for that are wired into the PSI fuse block, as well as the fuel pump..

Re: Wiring?

Purchased a PSI harness myself. They state product is made to order. Kind of disappointed they would not make any custom modifications for me. Wanted low and high fan connections and an auxiliary map connection for my fuel pump controller. Would not comply and will have to modify new harness myself. Makes me question if they make their own harnesses?

Re: Wiring?

Richard, I got the same response from PSI..i wanted the main harness about a foot longer so I could get all the electrical under the seat...got a big NO from them..
there is a PSI guy on this forum..we had a post going about a ebay harness here a while back..he jumped in and said they do make their own stuff and the ebay/Chinese was a knockoff..
ill probably use BP on my next one..they harness is supposed to be longer than PSI...but I also think PSI is working on a diy kit harness, but havnt seen much on it latley
