Hood adjustment
I'm reinstalling a 72' hood after paint and I'm running in to issues. Ive got it all lined up with the fenders but the back(next to cowl) is sitting up roughly a 1/2" to high and the nose needs to slide forward a bit. Ive had the high in the rear issue in the past but I cant remember how I resolved that. Any suggestions???

Re: Hood adjustment
Hood hinges worn - spray them down good with PB Blaster or such while working up & down, that helped with mine alot.

Re: Hood adjustment
Common problem. Loosen up the rear bolts on hood hinges, open the hood all the way, push hood open a little further (overextending the hood), tighten hinge bolts while still holding hood over extended. Check your results and repeat if necessary. Bam your done

^^^ What P.O.S. said. I loosen the "two" rear bolts on each hinge and leave the front ones snug, This will rotate the hood hinges back and lower the back of the hood. Just be careful when you close it the first time that it doesn't rub somewhere. It's good to have two people when you do this, one to push up on the front of the hood and one to tighten the bolts. That also gives you one to close the hood and one to check the clearance in the rear. LockDoc

Re: Hood adjustment
68POS is spot on ,use a little lube on the hinges if to much then the hood wont stay up when your working under the hood
