Drilling Temp sensor
I need some info on drilling the passenger head for the stock coolant sensor.

I use the same...I've also done 3/8npt as well...
As far as what to do...remove the plug that's in the head...coating the drill and tap with grease will help with keeping shaving out of the head...I usually do mine on a engine stand where I can tilt it over..if I can do that I dont use grease on the drill..after drilling I use the shop vac to get the remnants outs..but I do grease the tap...

You don't need to drill the head, there are adaptors. You need a M12 1.5 to 3/8 NPT adaptor and the stock temp sending unit will thread in. Takes a bit more clearance is the only difference.

Just drilled my p.s head for the factory sensor . Went easy and smooth as the other guys have said.

If the engine is out and on a stand, I see no reason to not drill and tap the head to accommodate your factory temp sender. An adapter is not another point of a possible leak and the sender may not read quite accurately. Just my .02
