Re: pre drilled or not, oak bed
Never heard of anyone complaining about the holes not lining up.

Re: pre drilled or not, oak bed
If you are planning on drilling them yourself anyway I would just buy the pre drilled ones. Mine lined up perfectly.

Actually, if the holes are known to be accurate, this guarantees proper alignment/placement. I did mine from scratch and had no such help on keeping everything true. It all worked out, but not without lots of triple checking.

Re: pre drilled or not, oak bed
I didn’t pay attention and ordered my wood from LMC trucks along with some other large parts to get free shipping not realizing it was not pre-drilled not the worst thing in the world but as OEM said you have to have everything lined up and double check

Mar-K in OKCity. Killer quality. Great people and products. I used their complete bed and wood kit.
‘63 short step, red oak, hidden fasteners, SS strips and angles.

Re: pre drilled or not, oak bed
I considered drilling my own holes but eventually decided that if I wanted the holes to line up properly I should get the pre-drilled. (Mar-K) And they lined up perfectly. This is what they do and they do a great job!

Re: pre drilled or not, oak bed
The ore drilled one’s also have the washers offset in the holes which is hard to reproduce
