Got my new seat today!

Santa came early! I got my seat from the upholstery shop and I'm very satisfied. Its a junk yard 1988 chevy chyeanne seat that looked like it witnessed a homicide. Had a custom seat cover made for it.
Blue vinyl skirts and center. Black cloth in the middle of each seat. (It looks blue but its actually black cloth) Headrests are cloth on the front and vinyl on the back. The back of the seat is carpeted.

Re: Got my new seat today!

Thanks! This is my first time not using replacement covers from a parts house. It was a leap of faith and took nearly 6 weeks, but it was worth it. Local guy is good. I'm trying to keep the truck looking period correct but nice. He took that into consideration as we picked colors, fabric and styles.

I did this seat because it has headrest. The likelihood of being rear ended in Atlanta is pretty high, so my wife wouldn't ride in it without them. (I told her thats what the back glass was for, but she didn't buy it)

I liked the contoured foam of this seat, but in all reality should have waited for a better one truck to come into pull a part. When i say homicide, im not sure but could believe it. The bottom foam was replaced and the back foam was repeatily sprayed with bleach! You can see the sprayers in the original photo. So gross! We have red clay dirt in Georgia which i thought stained the seat covers. Not until i stripped them off did i get another idea. By that point I really didn't want to know the whole story.
