1972 Doors, How to tell?
I have a 70 Blazer and I believe someone if the past has put on 1972 doors.
How is the ways to tell? I do have the Support screw under the Wing Window. Is the door jam different where the Latch bolts in? Thank you all. |

If it has the screw under the wing window, it's a 72 door...

Re: 1972 Doors, How to tell?
There are 2 different versions of the vent window screw. 72 is a stamped recess in the door and the screw is recessed. 72 will also have plastic door panels that use longer shafts on the window & door cranks, unless someone put the 68-71 style cranks back in it.
70-71 just had a hole drilled in the door that had a hard plastic plug that sticks out higher than the plain of the door with a screw in the middle of it. they also have the shorter shafts since they use the metal door panels. here is a pic of a 72 only. I could not locate one for the 71 that I had .

Can you post photos of your doors? Do you have plates around the latches like shown on this borrowed photo?
