Hi from the UK
Hello all, although not exactly new to the site hopefully I have now sorted my log in and hopefully I can post lol, anyway I’m from the UK, d had my 66 GMC C1000 for nearly three years, in this time I’ve fitted a new 355 sbc, done disc and dropped spindle front and flipped the axle on the rear, also fitted a 4.09 locker rear end and NV3500 5 speed (with all the trauma of fitting a hydraulic clutch). All in all I’m very very pleased with the truck and just had to drop the NV out for a rebuild as it was a bit noisy when I fitted it. So at this time she’s transless and yesterday I started removing the rear wood out of the bed due to it being rotten, I’m going to use scaffold boards as still want to be able to haul bits around when needed so no million dollar oak this is staying as a shop type truck that will get used when needed.

Re: Hi from the UK
Thankyou, it’s been a bit of a pain the stance is bang on but over here we have a lot of small roads with speed bumps ( an aweful invention ) so I’ve just bought 17 salt flat style wheels, I haven’t them on yet but will bring it up to a slightly better height. At the moment the exhaust is sitting about 2-3 inches from the floor which is a nightmare especially when it’s loaded
