Pictures of the difference of front tank brackets right to left
I am sure this has been covered before but I couldn't find it. I have a set of gas tank brackets and can't remember which is right or left on the fronts. My buddy needs them and his truck is in the shop right now and can't just test if they fit(truck is clear across town) I don't want them to go put them on and realize it is for the opposite side. I also heard 1973-76 were different? Any pictures and help is appreciated

Re: Pictures of the difference of front tank brackets right to left
Mine were interchangeable side to side(truck in signature). The front and back brackets were different, though.

Re: Pictures of the difference of front tank brackets right to left
Technically they will switch from side to side but the weld nuts are in a different place on the front bracket

I don't remember details, but some of my brackets had welded-on nuts and some didn't. I welded new nuts in place on any that were missing them.

Re: Pictures of the difference of front tank brackets right to left
This photo is from my 76 C10. The bracket on the right is the rear one and it is taller where it bolts to the frame. My set-up was mounted to the passenger side if that matters.
