rubber for wiper blades
I asked this awhile back and want to ask it again. I want to use my original SS wiper blade arms and just want to replace the rubber. Does anyone know someone or company that just sells the rubber that slides on the old arms. many years ago you could just buy the rubber inserts. Cant seem to find them anymore. HELP

Re: rubber for wiper blades
Others may chime in with info on what you are looking for. I ordered a set of Trico Classics 33-130 (13" wiper arm/rubber blade) and just swapped the blades over to my original SS arms - easy. If you go this route just make sure you get the correct size.

Re: rubber for wiper blades
Looked on ebay that is what I am looking for . Now for the correct size. What I have now came with the rest of the truck in boxes, so not sure on size. My blades measure 15 inches. Anyone know what size I need. Thanks

Re: rubber for wiper blades
Trico Classics worked for me as well. I can't get any measurements, the truck is long gone.

Re: rubber for wiper blades
I bought Anco brand on Amazon. They come long and you snap them off at the length you want.

Re: rubber for wiper blades
A good auto parts place can get them for you . I get them for all my old cars from the local NAPA.

Re: rubber for wiper blades
I can't tell you what size these trucks came with, but I run 18" blades on my '78. They stay on glass full sweep. It's possible that the wiper motor is a bit underpowered for that long of a blade, but maybe it only seems a little slow when compared to a modern vehicle.

Re: rubber for wiper blades
They came with 16" blades that always seemed too short, have always replaced them with 18" blades.
