First timer Leaf Springs C30

Please forgive my ignorance as I'm sure this is a silly question for most.

I'm in the process of finishing my 1985 C30 build and noticed I had a few broken leaf springs, so I ordered a new set. Before installing do they have a specific orientation? If not then good, but I believe they do and wanted to make sure I do the job right the first time.

So can someone please share with me how to identify which eye goes where. Thanks again everyone.

Re: First timer Leaf Springs C30

Replaced the leaf packs in my C30 service truck last year. If you measure from each eye to the locating pin/bolt on top, one measurement is longer than the other. If your leaves are still installed, just measure before removing and install the new packs the same way.

They will fit either way, but your axle will sit further one way or another.

If you need the orientation I can go measure my truck...

Yup, short side usually goes forward. If you are off, the center of the spring pack will not be in alignment with the spring snubber

Re: First timer Leaf Springs C30

Perfect thank you all so much. I measured them today and marked the front and rear. Will be installing them this weekend!
