much?? I built the tank bracket and battery box tonight. When it is all done, the tanks and the bracket will be gloss black. THe straps will reamain diamond plate. I am not sure if I like the straps or not. What do ya'll think??? Be honest. I am really unsure. I think that they might be alright once the tanks and bracket is painted. What about the battery box?? Let me know. I want to do some painting tomorrow. Later guys and gals, FCG

P.S. Keep in mind that there will be a bedcover on the truck. With that said, I don't guess it really matters.?..?..?

looks good, kind of unsure about the diamond plate also.

but flat steel with no design would mabey look too dull,

will prob look good after you paint it.

and like you said there will be a bed cover on there,

oh and thumbs up on the rattle guard, looks good...

it was in the bed. I am building myself the same one that I built for valley67. Only mine will have an in tank pump for the FI. Here's valley67's tank.

I agree with you Frenchblue72. Have you thought about mounting the battery under the bed? Say close to the cab in the outside of the frame? Diamond plate looks kind of rough. But if it's hidden, who cares? You do some nice work though..

I AGREE YOU DO NICE WORK I REMEMBER SEENING PIC'S OF VALLEY'S TANK.. AS FOR THE BATTERY I WOULD MAYBE MOUNT IT UNDER THE BED WITH SOME HIDDEN JUMPER'S THAT WAY IF THE BATTERY GOES DEAD YOU CAN STILL JUMP IT..JUST MY 2 CENT'S WORTH..

haven't got it actaully running yet. I ahe to order the wiring harness and have the computer reburnt. I will be using a cut down one-piece shaft. No problems there. I think I will mount it under the bed, french. Well, I got to go. I've got a monster rumbling in my stomach. Time to munch out! Later. FCG

gallons. If the hitch bolts on under the frame rail, it should fit. I am not 100% sure. If not, the tank can be built in whatever shape it need to be. Later, FCG

I like the design on the diamond plate, but agree it looks out of place, maybe use the bed coating?
Other than that, I wish mine looked that good, mine is lighter weight because of the rust holes

I like your truck a lot. But in my honest opinion the straps and the battery box look out of place. I'd make the straps out of some flat aluminum bar and paint them to match either the bottles, bed, or your paint color. As for you battery box I would have made it out of aluminum sheet.

Just my opinion though. I just think that diamond plate belongs only on trailers or ramps.

I agree with everyone here. After looking at the tank and the battery box this week, I agree, the diamond plate has to go. It will remain for a while, during the bedcover build-up. Yes, yes, yes, I will be posting pics of the build up and they will be available for sale if one desires. Well, I am going to run for now. Thanks for the input. FCG

Mrak, I think your on the right track. Put the battery in a drop down box, and use sheet aluminum for the straps. Even better would be stainless. Polish them once, and leave them alone....
