55.2-59 New leaf springs

Where is everyone getting new leaf springs? I got a quote from a local spring shop to replace all four spring packs on my '56 3600 but wondering if there are any spring shops or suppliers others have worked with.

what is wrong with the current springs under your truck?
springs can easily be rebuilt, all the parts are available from venders
i pulled my rear springs apart, blasted them, new center bolt, por15 paint, new pins and new shackles
even a broken leaf could be easily be sourced here, as many here go different suspension

As far as I know they're originals (65 years old), they've been overloaded too. Several rear leaves are broken and the fronts are sagging. I know they can be re-arched and broken pieces replaced but over time they'll fatigue and lose their arch again. Rather go with new with this build.

Just replaced my 65 year old rear leaf springs (which had very little movement when standing in the bed) for new leaf springs from POL.com (Performance OnLine). Dropped the rear 3" and the ride is greatly improved (no more buck board). Wife is very happy. There are others if you are looking for replacement vs rebuilding. Posie Sliders are good (I hear).

Thanks but I'm not lowering mine and it doesn't look like either of these places offer replacement springs for 3600 (3/4ton) models. I have 8 leaf front packs and 9 leaf rear packs. So far I've only found the spring packs would need to be custom made.

You can also get stock height springs as well for you make and model. There are a number of options for you.

I don't think you can go wrong with EATON Detroit springs whatever you want.

I considered General and Detroit for my '36. I ended up going with EatonDetroit but it was only because I'd already been discussing spring issues with their salesman. I would discuss the advantage of adding high density sliders to the springs if you are not trying to look original.

Haven't called general spring yet- they don't list front springs for mine but they do have rears. I did look at Eaton Spring's prices on their site and won't be going that route- they're too expensive for what they have for stock and the fronts on mine would be even more being 'custom' built.

I'm waiting on a quote back from Husky Spring right now- so we'll see.

decided to go with Husky Spring- the closest location to me is Des Moines. No problem making the springs to match my old ones and no issues shipping them to me. It will be a few weeks until they arrive but thats ok- going to get shipped to their shop first to make sure they are exactly what I need and then they'll send them my way.

You will probably find out that the springs were made by Eaton or one of the other major manufactures when all is said and done.
Some of the outfits that sell retail along with wholesale only have the popular movers in their retail catalog.

Doesn't matter to me- I wasn't going to pay Eaton's prices when I could get springs made to match mine closer and cheaper to home. Husky prices came in below every place suggested and that I found- even with shipping. Right on Husky's website it shows they are from Dayton Parts (aka Stanley Spring Works) and Triangle Suspension Parts.

New springs just got delivered today- rears are stock nine leaf packs. The fronts have an extra leaf added for the Napco four wheel drive, eight leaves (4 thick and 4 thin leaves), normal 3/4 ton packs had seven leaves (3 thick, 4 thin). Bushings are already pressed in and they're ready to be installed. Also, FWIW it looks like they were made by S&S Custom Springs out of Pine City, MN- based on the remnants of a label left on one of the packs. However, Husky Spring was great to work with and has great customer service.
