Re: front suspension

The price seems fair but will your wheels clear the calipers?

Re: front suspension

Sounds like a fairly economical way to upgrade to disc brakes. I would likely replace all of the ball joints, inner and out tie-rods, pitman and pull man arm. They will add to the cost of upgrading but I'm of the mind to replace it all now while putting it all back together.

Re: front suspension

I’m in the process of the same swap (88 3/4 suburban front end onto a 1966 C20) - you’ll need to accommodate the power steering and change in brakes as well, but the price seems right.

Re: front suspension

I paid 300 for a 73 1/2 ton suspension. Since this is a 3/4 ton you might be able to find one at Pick and Pull for a fraction of that price.

Re: front suspension

If it's already pulled & everything is there, the price is not bad. Free is always better but if obtaining the parts is easier & everything is there, time is money. I would try to get the factory 8-lug front wheels as part of the deal if @ all possible.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: front suspension

Decided to skip on it and get spindles that match my truck so I could use original parts. Thought down the road it would be easier to keep track of.
