Im looking for 6 lug 15x8 steel wheels for a 72 4x4 blazer I'll be starting on soon. I know Wheel Vintiques makes them, but they only come in 4.25" backspacing from what I can tell. I have read that 3.75" is the limit to clear the tie rod. I believe that to be accurate because the 6 lug rallies that are currently on it are relatively close with their 3.625" bs. There are the CUCV wheels off of the military blazers that would work, but seem to be impossible to find. So, is there anyone with personal experience on if a 4.25 bs will clear the tie rods on a stock 72 4wd? I'm open to other suggestions also, so if you have one, bring it on. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the response. I understand I can have them custom built in any configuration I want. I guess I should just start by asking, has anyone bolted a Cooper Restorations/Wheel Vintiques 15x8 with 4.25" bs to a stock k10 or k5 and it clears without a spacer?
I've done a ton of research, but I feel like there is something I'm missing or not understanding. I see so many trucks/blazers with wider steel wheels, it's hard to believe they were all custom built. That, or they were the ones that grabbed up all the cucv military wheels

Call Cooper and ask them. They are Chevrolet people. They likely have a vehicle they could do a test fit on....

That was my first move. They told me that the 7" and 8" wide wheels are only available with a 4.25 bs. When I asked about my specific application, the guy told me they "should" fit. But all the other info I can find makes me doubt that.
I was just hoping there was someone with first hand knowledge of the fitment of a 4.25 bs wheel on a stock disc brake k10 or k5

I’ve commented on this before. I purchased the off the shelf 4.25 BS, wheels and they made contact with the tie Rod end on my 72’ with disc brakes. Just barely touched. I thought of going with a spacer but, then I noticed these wheels are not hub centric either. I don’t necessarily think they need to be but, I finally decided to go with cucv wheels as the fit the hub right and the back spacing is correct. Cucv wheels are available if you are patient and look for a few days/weeks.
