OH SOLD NOS Under Dash Stereo Craig 8 Tract Player - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

This is an NOS 8 Track player. Back in the day (mid 70's) Craig and Pioneer was the go to under dash 8 Track Players. (There are a pair of NOS enclosed Pioneer Speakers for sale on eBay which would match nicely)

I will let the pictures speak for themselves. For those who don’t want to spend over a $1000 on a GM set up ... this is the way to go. I am selling this and a RCA In Dash unit as I am going with a Pioneer under dash set up. I opened this up only to take pics. As far as know all hardware is included in the box.
$250 shipped USA only. (I learned my lesson

Shipping will likely cost about $25-$35 as shipping prices are going up.
Shipped with insurance and tracking. $225.

In a few days I will cross advertise this on another site (not eBay). As I am giving this board 1st shot at this unit.

Does it have to have its own speakers or can it be an aux input into a head unit ?

That I am not sure of (can it be an aux input into a head unit). I bought a NOS set of Craig/Pioneer speakers for my Pioneer under dash ... the speakers will attach to my CB Hump Mount

I saw no plug in connection for speakers - just the wires.

Found the schematics online where I could see them clear. Definitely a stand alone unit. It could share a dual cone dash speaker with the original radio via a simple 2 pole relay. I’m thinking hard on it.

I found a pair of NOS Craig speakers that I will be connecting to my Pioneer 8 track.

Last 8 Track player I have - good quality NOS 8 Track Players are getting more challenging to locate. Plus prices are going higher.

You will have something the guy next to you at the car/truck shows likely will not have.

Craig and Pioneer were the go to stereo players back in the day.

I think it will sell. You'll just need patience because I don't think everyone realizes how great these things are. 8-tracks are necessary for the full 67-72 driving experience. I'm sure enjoying mine.

You can get just about any album you would want from the8tracktapestore.com or 8tracksrback.ecrater.com. I sent the output of my player into an under seat Kicker amp and made some plywood under seat speaker boxes for JBL speakers.
