This look truck vs burb
I really like the thinner whitewalls with full caps and lowered look. Do you think a burb would pull this off, or because of the massive rear compared to the truck rear would the tires look smallish? I have the wheels and a set of NOS caps, just not sure about tire size.
There are actually quite a few members running this combo. Just did a quick grab of these two pics.

Re: This look truck vs burb
Those white walls are a tad wider, but over all tire size Im thinking they look a little off on a burb ... maybe?

Re: This look truck vs burb
I think the trucks are sitting a little lower than the suburban also which changes the look.

Re: This look truck vs burb
I think it will look fine. It's how the tire fits the wheel well where tire size matters and it's the same on all CKs. I don't see the longer roof as affecting the look. I never looked at any 67-72 Suburban with 235/85-15s and thought the tires looked too small.
I was going to do this look with narrow whitewalls and wheel covers back before joining this site. But I had a different plan. I still have the red powder coated 8" steelies I had done for it. I was going to have Diamondback Classic Tire make me a set of narrow whitewalls in a wider tire, so the truck would have the wide track road hugger look that was sought after in this era but have the stock old man truck look at first glance. If you think the off the shelf narrow whitewalls don't come in a big enough size, you could go the route.
