Re: upper windshield panel

There are some posts of ones doing it. But I can't remember if they used the patch panel that's available to purchase, or they just used a donor cab.
I'll see if I can find a the threads.

Re: upper windshield panel

I just replaced this on my 61. Other than the part needing to be widened about a half inch it wasn't too bad to install, although my roof skin was removed.

Re: upper windshield panel

Check out my build . I just did the patch above the windshield inside cab and the outer eyebrow. Then the rear over hang above back window . It always snow balls fast once you sandblast https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=825083

Re: upper windshield panel

I have done this, inside and outside. I used the patch panels i could purchase and it was not to bad and i am NOT a body guy. Just do not hurry through it or you will get very frustrated, take your time, check twice, three and four times, then cut and replace.

Re: upper windshield panel

I have replaced this panel on my 66 using the panel they sell for the 60-63. It was not that hard to do. As has previously mentioned, it has to be widened about 1/2" to use on the 64-66 bodies. While it is off, you can spend some time rustproofing the roof and ceiling as well.
