New or different won’t be faster/better. It relies on heat. Motor doesn’t warm up quick enough for that.
If you go manual be sure to plug the vac hole inside the housing. |

If the old heat coil is shot or not expanding / retracting properly , Yes a new one will make it better / faster .
Dont bother posting if you have replaced the part before and dont know what you are talking about

I switched to an electric choke from a hot air choke. All you need is a 12v hot to go to choke. It has made starting truck so much easier
