Who is selling the best looking bumpers, need one for my 68 C-10. Know I will be getting several opinions, but will sift through and decide. Thanks to all who reply.

Re: New front bumper needed
I bought both chrome bumpers for my 72 from GMC Pauls about 2-3 years ago. They both fit very well with no cussing and look really good.

Re: New front bumper needed
Good question as I need a Rear Bumper for my '72 C-10.
Does anyone know which brand GMC Paul carries? Also trying to find out the same info on Sheet Metal. Which brand is the best? Or are they all the same? Thanks

Re: New front bumper needed
I bought both front and rear bumpers from GMCPauls about a year ago for my '68 stepside, and they both came in boxes that said Dynacorn on them. The chrome is nice on both of them. The rear bumper is reasonably straight compared to others I've had and seen that droop in the middle. The front bumper required some bending of the little top attachment brackets to get it to sit flush against the ends of the frame. Took a few attempts to get it to align evenly on both ends. Part of this struggle could certainly have been due to my truck and not the bumper. The original bumper it replaced was tweaked slightly on the left side.

Re: New front bumper needed
There was discussion on this in the past (link below) regarding GoodMark rechromed originals available through Rock Auto.
Here are the #'s for Reference: (from link below) GMK4143000672A is the front GMK4143800674A is the rear NOTE: Reference Post#25 in link as well. https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...pers+rock+auto

Re: New front bumper needed
I purchased a rear sport bumper and got a great look at many front bumpers from The Truck Shop.
They're.... daily driver passable. Had I been considering it a show truck, I would have shopped around more dilligently. The chrome is smooth and doesn't look to have any plating issues, but if you look closely around the edges or around where the mounting bolts go through, there's little scratches and or light gouging, i assume from however it was stamped out. I was standing in a massive swap meet line waiting to get my bumper, so i stood for many minutes just staring at the quality of all of their 60-72 bumpers, and all shared the same characteristics. It was worth the 2 bills I paid considering daily driver expectations. Best of luck! |
