My current crossmember is hard to get the rear bolts to the 350 tranny. The 2 pictures show two types/designs. One claims to give access to pan without moving crossmember. Is there a better one or one of these will work. Looking for input if you used one of these styles.

Re: crossmember
That's a lot of money for access to a couple bolts.
I used to loosen the top cross-member bolts and pull the bottom and sided bolts and just slide the cross-member back a little. If you use the right gasket and it goes on dry (both the pan and the case) you could pull all the bolts and it will not leak after setting for a few days. BTW Never use silicone on the pan gasket. Sorry it's all information you didn't ask for but I have a lot of experience looking at t trucks from the underside. Now to answer your question directly; If I was going to change out the cross member I would use the bull horn one on the right. I think it has a better chance of clearing the bolts. Cheers. Re: crossmember
I have the upper style in my C10, Dropped right in, but I am running a Muncie 4 speed so cant tell about the pan bolts clearing. I know my exhaust guy was happy with it as it allowed him more room to run the pipes and have good clearance.
