86' GMC not orignal engine, Cant find VIN

^is the VIN i found on the dash and on registration and title!

But it says my truck is a 5.0L V8 305cid Gas 4 BBL OHV 16V Vin H

Lies. the title says 2nd VIN. but dosnt say it.

And im total n00b. I know for a fact its a 5.7L v8 350cid.
well im pretty sure.

i made the pics REAL big so you could see in detail but i didnt wanna dirrect link them to the forums cause they are 1600x1200.

Run the numbers from the back of the block on drivers side. Also look in the glove box there is often a option id sheet stickered in there.

Isnt any way to look at the outside of the engine and tell do like phantom said get them numbers off the back sometimes there caked with grease so you might spray some b-12 on it or get a small wire brush Ive had to use a mirror to see them before once you get the number it will be something like 3970010 .. thats an example thats too old to be in an 86 your will prolly be like 140-------
