Re: clear instrument cluster lens?
I'm not quite figuring out your question, Usually when someone uses round aftermarket gauges in a TF they use a panel that is either purchased or fabricated and the actual gauge lens is all there is over the gauge. Something similar to what Hanline shows here http://www.hanelineproducts.com/shop-online
They are supposed to be coming out with a panel for a TF. There are other vendors who sell similar panels.

Re: clear instrument cluster lens?
sorry 48 chev i guess these setups just use the lenses that are on the gauges and not a clear lens over whole thing as well?

Re: clear instrument cluster lens?
I found them. https://boeseengineering.com/product...uments-gauges/
That is pretty much standard for any of the aftermarket gauge panels for TF trucks or tri 5 cars.

Re: clear instrument cluster lens?
I am pretty well positive that they are but I would contact the company and ask how they are set up.

Re: clear instrument cluster lens?
If you just want a clear lense to go over the gauges you have, clear Lexan can be cut to size. It's going to add some depth to the cluster for sure. Normally aluminum plate is used and the gauges stand proud from it

Re: clear instrument cluster lens?
yeah, I'm thinking the same as ogre, usually the gauge is mounted to a sheet aluminum and uses the lense that is already in the gauge. if not I'd use lexan as a cover myself. cut a template from thin hardboard the same thickness as the lexan you plan to use so you can mock it up first, or just use the lexan, its cheap enough. sometimes the plastic supply places have off cuts they sell by the pound so even cheaper. if you find some gauges you like you could make the aluminum backer easy enough then plan where the gauges will fit and cut the holes. polish it, paint it, cover it with vinyl, whatever your heart desires. personally I am not a fan of the high gloss instrument cluster for something you will be driving day and night, I don't like the glare. I like the gauges to be the bright spot on the cluster. thats just me though.

Re: clear instrument cluster lens?
That’s what I’ve got in mine. It is just the gauge lenses with no second cover

Re: clear instrument cluster lens?
if you use a gauge with a lens and then a lense over that you may find things distort, like a prism, or they may have a reflective property to them. better to go with the regular gauge like mrbuck, if you like the look.
