Base model mirror dimensions

My long bed has the deluxe day/nite mirror. It's big (2 and 1/8 X 10 inches) and in my way when looking to the right. I want to swap it for a base model mirror head and the re-pops like this one https://upcarparts.com/interior-rear...hevy-t-c607110 say they are 3x8 inches. However, the mirror in my shortbed , which I always assumed to be original is 2 and 1/8th X 8. That measurement corresponds to this re-pop mirror https://upcarparts.com/inside-rear-v...ssenge-c646701 I wonder if it would fit the arm and if the original base mirror was really 3x8 or 2 and 1/8 X 8. Anyone got some info on what size the original base model mirror really was. Anyone know if the one I linked fits the arm?

Re: Base model mirror dimensions

I took this one out of my '66 recently. It's about 2 1/4 by 8" with a silver painted finish on the back side.

Re: Base model mirror dimensions

Thank you. It looks like te second link I posted is the proper size after all. I need to call them and see if it will fit the arm.

I actually swapped out my smaller one for a bigger one. They both looked like the ones you linked not like Astronaut's and they swapped easily.
