Carpet Hold Down strips
Is there anyone other than MotorCity making the stainless carpet hold down strips?
I appreciate everything that Motor City does just seems awful expensive to spend $450 for two hold down strips ? Utahboy use to make them but it seems that is no longer the case Any other options out there PS - I know most will say just spend the money ...

Re: Carpet Hold Down strips
MotorCity K5 took over manufacture from Utahboy from what I understand and no one else is making these. The quality is excellent.

Re: Carpet Hold Down strips
I have the two originals ( both are the same on my model i guess) but I'm not sure the sandblast guy can get them to a good spot - then I'd have to powdercoat them ....
Maybe I'll look for a chrome shop in the Chicago area

Re: Carpet Hold Down strips
Electroplating of El Paso might be an option for chrome. They do good work that’s reasonably priced and did some strips for me. That said, the cost at that time was at or more than the price of the Motor City K5 examples today.
