FRANKENTRUCK's door replacement
After all of these years, FRANKENTRUCK is finally getting a new drivers' door!
Original was damaged before I got it - probably blown open. A friend of mine did some welding to attempt to make the door last longer. That 'repair' lasted nearly 20 years,...! Old door is gutted, and out. Rebuilding the vent window, now. Cleaning parts,... Hoping to get an aerosol GM WA5258 "Light Green" urethane to paint the new hinges, and color the interior parts of the new door. I'll have more info later,...

Re: FRANKENTRUCK's door replacement
I guess FRANKENTRUCK may have been built before most of you were on this thread,...
The build thread is found by searching: '78 3/4 ton 4x4 FRANKENTRUCK on this forum. The thread is so old, it's been archived, or something,... Vent window assembly is rebuilt/repainted, new hinges primered, everything is ready for re-assembly. Waiting for the paint,...

Re: FRANKENTRUCK's door replacement
Some might remember FRANKENTRUCK's twin-stick NP205,... Cochino, et al, may recall the Chip Foose "Spank" wheels!

Re: FRANKENTRUCK's door replacement
That's a cool truck. One of those was for sale in my area not too long ago. It was the same year, model, and color, but it had a 292 and 4 speed in it. It was just a little more than I was willing to pay for it, but looking back, I wish I bought it.

A 205 or 203 Transfer case just needs twin sticks. It's a must have for me.

Re: FRANKENTRUCK's door replacement
FRANKENTRUCK is cool to drive in 6" of snow, in FRONT wheel drive! Drives like a front wheel drive car,...no slip and positive steering. Weird.

Re: FRANKENTRUCK's door replacement
The drivers' vent window is rebuilt with new seals/felts, and the new door/hinges/bolts are now 1978 GM WA5258, "Light Green" - FRANKENTRUCK's original color:
Custom mixed color from an eBay seller. 'Bout time for reassembly.
