Am i correct that a york compressor....
Does not need to be constantly oiled like some a/c compressors? It is already oiled and sealed? And also york compressors do not need any check valves or whatever that only the air allow to flow in one direction?? The compressor it self will withstand how much PSI? Basically i am asking if i can just put the compressor on without any extras i have to put on? I want to run and keep about 150 PSI in my tank. thanks.

You do need a check valve($8 max) and it is self oiled but you still have to check the oil in it about every 2 weeks. You'll also need a blow off valve as well as a pressure switch and a braided stainless leader hose. The heat is too hot off the manifold on the comp to use a regular air hose.

OK cool thanks. Why do i need a pressure switch? So i don't overfill my tanks or something? And what is a blow off valve? That the same as a pressure valve? That lets the air out automatically over a cetain PSI?? thanks.

You still need a pressure switch otherwise you're gonna over fill your tanks depending on the pressure they're rated at.

Get a pressure switch and a blow-off valve. Then you don't have to worry about overfilling your tanks. Of course you could put the toggle switch on there, but wire it in with the other two, just to be safe!

Ok i now have a york a/c compressor but i have a few questions. What type of oil does it take if it needs any? Where do you check the level of oil in it? (there are 2 bolts, one on each side that are about 1/2 way up, are these the ones to check level?) Also i read that you may have to take out a restrictor valve so it puts out more volume. But i took off the fittings and it looks wide open to me?? Is it just certain models you have to take out a restrictor type thing? thanks.

DEFINITELY hook up a toggle inline to kill the power AND A PRESSURE GUAGE THAT GOES TO 300 PSI. My pressure switch went on me & I didn't realize how much PSI was in the tank after the truck was idling for almost 10 minutes. Well, I hit the all up switch(fullsize extended cab longbed GMC with a cap on back) and sent the front of the truck about 18" in the air and the rear well over 24" with one tap. Needless to say I actually buckled the top plate on one of my 2600#bags and broke the mount on the frame for the same bag. Not a good night. Looked cool as shiznit in the air but I paid the price. Keep in mind these things are capable of putting out 300+ PSI.
