Question Rear Bumper

Howdy all.....bought a rear bumper off of my friends 67 shorty today.....my 72 had a POS aftermarket bumper that now lies in the scrap pile. My question is......The dust shields that mount to the frame and bumper brackets aligned perfectly on the 67, but on my blazer they dont. The outter brackets are the same for the Blazer and truck aren't they? I pulled off the inner brackets as the Blazer doesn't need them......The difference in height is about an inch or so......any ideas? Thanks!

The rock guards on a 72 and maybe 71 Blazer are different then the rest of the Blazers and trucks. They are not flat, they step up a bit for the frame difference. You might have quite a hard time finding some. I can email you a pic of what they look like if you want.
