WTB or Locate AC Delco #18M1036
Wanting to buy or help locating a new old stock AC Delco part# 18M1036 Master Brake Cylinder pictured.
AC Delco has recently changed the design style of the part from the older OE replacement style pictured. The older OE replacement parts have the double wire bails for the reservoir cap. The newer replacement parts are a different master design with on length wise single wire bail. They have not changed their web photos or packaging but still retain the AC Delco part# and the GM part#. Web site vendors are not offering this older OE style master. Thank you to forum member 1970cstblazer for the first reference photo. Thanks for any info, help or leads.

Re: WTB or Locate AC Delco #18M1036
Thanks for the input guys.
I have inquired with White Post and may take this route for both the master and proportioning valve rebuilds. Pricey though. I am patiently looking at other options and may replace my master with a Corvette/Camaro style disc/drum master cylinder with my new booster. Fingers crossed, I’m also waiting for a local GM dealership to check GM warehouses for this OE replacement part. My 1972 C10 is a 1/2 ton 350 V8 4BBL. It also came with the SPID code J70 Hydro Brake Booster which I replaced and still have. My original intention was to just replace the master cylinder with same type replacement under my hood. It turns out, as we all know, restoring our trucks close to OE, it’s not always that easy. https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=848267 Thanks
