1 & 2 drop with 31 tires
I finally got a chance to get my truck out of the garage in the day light. I bought this truck last November. It sat up like a 4wd with stock springs and 28 tires. My initial plan was to try the original springs and 31 tires. I tore the truck apart to clean it up and paint frame, trailing arms, etc. The rear coil bolts and retainers were rusted and I couldnt get them apart. I had to cut out the originals. At that point I decided to go with the least amount of drop I could get for the replacement springs, 1 front & 2 rear.
I ended up replacing shocks, ball joints, steering linkage, etc. Recently got it all back together and on the ground with the 31 tires. If I had tried it with stock springs, I probably wouldve went that route. It is sitting a little lower than I would have thought, but I really do like the stance. There arent any clearance issues. I have some wiring to finish up and an alignment before I can road test it, but I dont think there will be any problems. I am also going to add air bags to the coils for when I tow with it. |
