CPP slip driveshaft and billet carrier bearing
I just bought a CPP slip driveshaft and billet carrier bearing, had it balanced. But feels some vibration.
Has anyone had similar issues with either? I bought a oem style carrier, and going to install to see if the bearing or the shaft is making the vibration |

I used the billet style carrier bearing in my anniversary truck with stock drive shaft and had no problems.

I installed the billet carrier and the slip rear drive shaft in my Burban (Not from CPP) It helped reduce vibrations. I ended up having to rebuild the rear end to eliminate more vibrations and then finally found the the pinon yoke was damaged before I got to the bottom of my vibrations.
You may have additional items contributing to your vibrations outside of the driveline. Is your truck lowered? That can add additional problems with U-joint angles. I was able to further reduce vibration by getting my U-joint angles properly set up. My Burban is lowered.

I think you hit the nail on the head.
Its lowered 4" in the rear. And this winter, I installed a shock relocation kit. I'm thinking the pinon angle is low, and the angle at the carrier bearing is steep. I'm going to tweak some things to see if it helps. |

I had to read this a couple of times to make sure I was reading it right but the gist of things is that all three U joints need to be on the same plane.
That matches the one piece driveshaft concept of output shaft and yoke on the transmission and the pinion shaft being on the same plane. Time to dig out the angle finder and schooch under it with it sitting flat on the floor.
