I paid $75 for a 12 3.08 rear.
For about $100 buy a tonneau cover for your bed!!! Lower the truck for about $400.00 Congrad on the baby!! |

I hope you are ready to have a baby emotionally and financially. Congratulations, and I wish you luck either way.
I say save the $1000 for immediate expenses associated with having the baby. The baby will be in elementary school before you recoup $1000 from any gas saving mod you do to the truck, but the baby will start costing you money right away. BTW, I once saw the results of extensive wind tunnel testing done on trucks with and without tailgates. There was, essentially, no difference in drag between the two. The results showed that the air flows over the cab, and drops down behind the tailgate. They experienced negligible gains in gas mileage by dropping the tailgate. I assume, perhaps incorrectly, that the same would likely apply to bedcovers. I sure wish I could remember hwere I read that. Slonaker Last edited by Slonaker; 01-13-2004 at 04:34 PM. |

55 miles round trip isnt that bad at all. i did 100 a day when i was in HS, 5 days a week. keep your foot out of the secondaries, and you'll be golden.
