Quadrajet filter
A LOONNG time ago I put a quadrajet with an electric choke on the 68 C10. I believe they changed the filters from long to short etc. I dont have the casting number off of the carb but is it possible to look at tell which filter it would need? Im about to drive it 250 miles back to my house and would like to change that out before I get on the road.
Thanks!

Re: Quadrajet filter
Looks to be for the short filter, but I'd just buy both and take back the one I didn't need.

Re: Quadrajet filter
The carb # is easy to see with a flashlight.

Re: Quadrajet filter
The truck is 250 miles up north so I cant see the casting number. I found a short one https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c...t+filter&pos=0
Long one https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c...t+filter&pos=0

FWIW. these internal paper filters stop way more fine particles than most inline filters, so be aware, they will stop up if you have fine sediment in your tank. Best part is, if you're lucky it won't be in your float valve. I found the Duralast at AutoZone for $1.99. Grab a couple of them before they get stupid on the price too. Good fortune on your drive back. Duralast Fuel Filter FF1103DL |

Re: Quadrajet filter
Get the filter with the small check valve in it and don't lose the spring behind it. I've got a couple of cases of those dang little things and am running edelbrock carbs now

Re: Quadrajet filter
You need the short filter.
