People/Prices Are Nuts
A few examples of the Barrett/Jackson/Mecum fever that seems to be infecting everyone.
First, this one. It's apparently a great restoration truck and just need cam bearings, which are somehow accessed from underneath: https://classifieds.ksl.com/listing/75771428 Then there's this jewel, just waiting for someone to roll it across the auction block (after installing an engine and transmission, doing the body and paint and interior, and who knows what else): https://classifieds.ksl.com/listing/76246918 And, finally, this jewel. It just needs a carburetor and radiator and you'll be in the money: https://classifieds.ksl.com/listing/77547826

Re: People/Prices Are Nuts
#1 looks like there is some bonus front end damage.
#2 Probably the best deal if the driver's side metal is as straight as the passenger side #3 Don't think CB antennas are that valuable. Maybe some hidden gems in the bed. #2 could be a gem for someone that has already decided they want some variation of an LS install. |

Re: People/Prices Are Nuts
I agree pricing is pretty crazy now, it is starting to affect every era of truck. Might be an upside to this for us though.
1. I was not prepared for what I saw in the bed of that truck. 2. I can practically feel how dry the climate is in those pics. 3. That is some kinda whip antenna, impressive.

Re: People/Prices Are Nuts
Supply and demand economics.....location and availability vs life span vs when you want to start the project all weigh in!

Re: People/Prices Are Nuts
I see the same vehicles come up month after month. You'd think people would eventually get a clue that their pile of scrap isn't going to be on the cover of Hemmings.

Re: People/Prices Are Nuts
We can thank the major manufacturers for this. You can buy a brand new truck for 85k that won't last or you can restore one for about 30k that will last and still have value
