how to get my truck in my garage??
Well, I finally did it. I cleaned out my garage...well it's my parents garage. it was full...now it's empty...and the backyards full...hehe. I'm building some shelving tomorrow, i'll definately take pics of all the stuff that was in there. but here's my problem. My truck broke down, now i have to get it in the garage. You think, push it right? WRONG! lol, my driveway is STEEP! and we have an alley behind our house. SO...any ideas? oh and my dad's out of town and doesn't know i cleaned out the garage...oops.

I used a boat winch on a homemade stand to get vehicles in and out by myself......mounted to the floor...

If it is like my drive to my front garage, you need a push truck.I have a 4x4 with a winch that I was able to run thru the back door and winch it up the drive! Now I have a 3' long 2" wide patch in my drive, whoops!

I've done this, it works well.
Get another vehicle, probably something with a nice metal bumper. Take a nice big tire (not on rim) and put it between the two vehicles. Use the other truck/car to push your truck into the garage. The tires will stop any damage from accuring as long as its bumper to bumper.

I have the drive problem. Had to Come aa long a couple into the garage before. Luckily I have a personel door out the back and a patio(deck really 1 step up off the ground) witha trelliss with 4x4 posts. I go to the base of the post closest to the door. I keep chocks under the wheels and move them ever y1ft aI move the car forward. Takes forever but works.
Another trick I have done is my trail truck is prtty indestructable bumpers. I used a BIG Clamp to guid a tow strap off the side of the front bumper. Hooked that to the dead car. Drove in with the dead car to the side that way but requires a second driver and enough room for two vehicles. I would not do this with stock bumpers, you will bend them. I also tied off that same way and used the Come A Long.

My mothers VW Type 2 Camper once decided to drop it's own parking brake and make a dive for the road. She heard honking from outside, went out to see what all the fuss was about and found her car parked neatly across both lanes of the road, all doors locked, needless to say she was a little embarrased. How it managed to avoid hitting anyone I don't know as it is a very busy road.
