if you haven't already placed the order i would go to the parts store and buy one with a lifetime warretee. works fine on mine

Those valve covers you are going to love. I've got the centerbolt style.

On the starter I'm with Ryan. I'm running 10:1 compression on mine and with a lifetime starter as well. No problems at all (knock on wood).

Don't forget to order a new timing pointer to go with the new timing cover.

Why not get a mini-hi-tork starter? They are smaller and not prone to heat soak from your headers.

i was gonna get a stock style starter for cheaper, but my dad thought i should get a better higher end starter, so he paid for some of it

Not to pick and complain but I would have gotten a Stewart water pump. Stage 1 at least if not stage 2.

the only thing that i would change would be chrome rather than polished aluminum--that sh!t is tough to maintain.

LMAO!! But to Dave ( aka ANAL ANDY ) it's nothing at all. Remember the grease stains we got on his carpet in the garage from working on Jon's truck? He was out after it with B-12 before we could get the truck out of the garage!!

BTW: Dave's truck is clean only because he's cheating on it with the Trans AM

As far as the "keepin it clean" problem. Couldn't Eric just shoot a couple coats of clear on them valve covers.
