ARMREST options ? ? ?

Any aftermarket armrests out there, or anyone create something on their own that's different than stock? Just curious, pics and/or links would be great.

I used the ones out of earlier style trucks. They bolt right on and are much nicer than the big original ones on these trucks. They're available new from most parts vendors cheap.

The picture is before I covered them in tweed to match the door panel tweed.

When you say earlier...are there certain years? Also, anyone know anything about door/window handle options (other than high priced billet ones)?

Thanks TX!

They are like up to 66 armrests. I bought them from Kennys trucks for 60 per pair new. The picture doesn't do it justice. There is a chrome strip on them that you can barely see in the picture. The top soft part unbolts so you can recover them in any matching fabric you want then bolt them back to the bases.

The "big ones" were put in vans up till about 82. That's where I got mine. I saw a pic on this forum of one that looked to be billet aluminum. I have seen them carved from wood, you know to match wooden steering wheels.

Those aluminum rests would be a tad warm on the arms in the summer!

When the truck sits in the sun here in Africa, I mean Texas, metal arm rests would turn hot as hell. The next thing you know you get in the truck and lay your bare arm on the arm rest and, after a few choice words, a local rancher would be trying to round you up since you would now have his brand on your forearm

Yea....

that's a thought. Still shouldn't be that bad with tinted windows. It may very well be hot. Who knows, I haven't even driven the POS in the last 3-4 years under its own power. Maybe someday.....
