my project so far

It was nice weather today so I thought I would work on the truck. These are pics without the crossover steering, rear disc, and ladder bars that I have to build. 8inch springs and 36 inch swampers.

In my opinion 4wd truck were meant to be lifted.....and 2wd trucks were meant to be lowered.

The tire on it is for mockup purpose. It will probally end up with 37-38 inch tires.

Thanks, Guys! Yeah.......the mirror is gonna go. As far as paint.......I havent decided yet. Maybe a bright orange or a nice silver. Ill probally be driving to the paint shop and whatever color pops into my head is what it will get. As far as the 60 frontend......got one in all my trucks. I learned long ago that a 44 and a big block dosent hold up to a heavy right foot. lol. I got a rust free cab and doors that I gotta put on. Also thinking about swapping the front sheetmetal for the 71-72 style. 454 is going in next along with a auto tranny. Ahhhh.........there never done!

i would say if you have a small window keep the 67 front end it just looks more proper especially to people who actually know what they are looking at.

Great truck. I would definitely keep the front end as is. Those front ends are so unique.

What are the details on your lift?

Very nicely done. It will be a true Oregon truck when you're done!
I myself have an 8" Skyjacker lift and 2" body lift on mine and I'm running 38" swamper radials, tallest radial SS made when I bought. I wanted a radial tire because it will be a daily driver, along with a weekend mudder, but figured the radials would be a tiny bit safer with all this rain.

Can't wait till you have it done: big block, Dana 60 front, crossover steering, rear discs, bright orange paint... OH MAN! Awesome ride.
