rear drum question
I am trying to save some money buy assembling the little springs inside the rear drums of my 1972 K20. Does anyone know of any websites or other places I can get info on how to assemble this? I have a factory assembly manual and a service manual but don't see it in there.

Actually, its pretty simple, just lik ein your picture. But if you've never worked on them before, they can be a pain in the but. If you need to, look in an LMC truck catalouge. They have exploded viewws of all that "good stuff."

Doing brakes is pretty simple, but the best way is to do one side at a time, so you can go back and look at the other side.

Hardest part about doing the brakes on these trucks are:
1. Getting the damn drums off sometimes. ![]() 2. Getting those springs on and off. 3. Bleeding them once you're done. Everything else is pretty simple.
