What year truck?
# 1 looks to me like it would connect to the oil pressure unit behind the ditributor, green wire, orange plug. The other may connect up to the washer pump on the wiper motor. #2 Starter #3 alternator #4 ? #5 Temperature Sendind unit. Dig out the shop manual. Masking tape and a pen would saved ya a lot of grief. Not a 100% of my guess but will help maybe.

What you have down is correct. If you are no longer going to use a ECM or ESC you won't need the knock sensor either.
The 4th pic - you will only need the choke wire for an electric choke. If the carb you are getting is come other style choke, you won't need it but with it unplugged, your choke light will be on all the time. If you go that route we can help you fix it.

I need to trace my wire that looks like #1. I have 2 of those connectors disconnected under my engine bay and have no idea where they go.

I was talking about the green and orange one but I don't know about that black wire.

The 4th picture is the connectors for a dual capacity accel. pump for the carb. The white connector would plug into the solenoid on the carb and the black connector (with one wire on it) plugs into a temp. switch mounted on the t-stat housing. Assuming you are using the stock q-jet.

No you don't need it if you are not running the stock carb. If you trace the 2 wires on the white connector, the pink wire goes up to behind the dash to a splice (+12 volts), the other wire goes to the connector that would plug into the temp. switch.
Hey, if you are going to trash those two connectors, would you mind donating them. I have the same setup and my connectors are all buggered up. |

Eric, just a thought, but you might be better off finding an engine wiring harness in a junk yard from an earlier truck, that does not have a lot of the ESC and other stuff in it. Maybe from a 78 or older truck. That may simplify your wiring a ton, and still plug up to the fuse block connection.

picture #1
I am looking at an 1985 wiring diagram and it shows an green wire with orange plug and says it's a test plug. I kinda of think it might be used for diagnastic checks when in for repairs, like hooking up to a computer or something like that.

I have that same green wire with orange plug. It isn't connected to anything, which supports the theory that it is for testing purposes.
