Rear 5 lug conversion question
I am still looking for a truck but just wanted to make sure what work is necessary in case I end up buying a 6 lug truck. I have an 82 donor vehicle that I can rob the complete front end from, so if I understand correctly I should have most of the parts necessary for the front. I am unsure about how to convert the back to 5 lug though. If I get a leaf spring truck, will the rear end from the 82 bolt right in? If I get a coil spring truck, which would be my first choice can I just pull the axles from the 82 and install them in an earlier rear end? Thanks in advance for the help, hate to ask questions about a vehicle I dont own yet, but having that information will help me know what to look for when I buy.

The simplest things to do are either get a 5 lug rear off a 71 or 72, or take your axles and drums and have them drilled.
