Pics of firewall and interior painted
The body guy shot the firewall and interior yesterday with single stage paint. The color is just what I wanted. I am very pleased and can't wait for the rest of the truck to be painted so I can get it home and get it running! There are a couple runs on the firewall and one in the interior that need to be addressed.
Here are some pics: The floor and where the gas tank would be will be carpeted. This next pic shows the color and metallic flake well. Here is a link to that picture that is fullsize. http://yuk0njack.com/bbproject/bodys...34fullsize.jpg

Making progress! You will feel much better when you start putting it all back together. At least you are going in the right direction then. I like the color.

The color is based off of a GM color and I had the body guy mix it with larger metallic flake, rather than the fine metallic flake that it called for. The pics don't do the metallic flake justice, it really sparkles.

Thanks for all the compliments. Yep, I am eager to get more done so I can get it back in my hands and get it on the road.
I did discuss the issue of touch ups with the body guy and he said it shouldn't be to difficult. Personnally, I recognize that touch up's never blend to well so that is something that I won't worry too much about.

Let's reflect on where this all started, thanks to Barn9 and blazer boy!
I think Barn9 and blazer boy's comments were something like, "You really ought to go ahead and fix some rust while the 307 is being replaced. Before you know it, you'll be painting the whole thing." To which I told them they were crazy!

Looking at that pic makes me wonder what you're doing for mirrors all said and done?

I'm gonna get a new set of tripod mirrors, these vibrated so bad and were not in too good of shape. Some people hate these big mirrors, but sure are nice when you are pulling a big hay trailer.
