Best window track fuzzies

some s.o.b broke into my truck yesturday and in the process used a crow bar to pry the door apart right beside the lock mechanism. They could have just broke the vent window and be done but noooo, now I have to replace the entire door because of how they did it. I have a lead on a door but I will need all new window tracks, and weather striping. So my question is who makes the best window tracks for our trucks? Think I have heard bad stuff about lmc and good stuff about jc whitney or vice versa. Anyway welcome to my hell day. Just hope it doesnt rain untill I can get this thing fixed

Any one got any helpful hints on installing a driver door window?
The one I got out of the parts truck wasnt the easiest thing to get out, Imagine its going to be 2 X as bad going in.
Low 84,
They were some bumb azz thiefs. looks like they were just after the stereo head unit and the boom box. funny thing is that when they yanked the head unit out of the dash 3 of the wires that go to the radio harness stayed in the truck, like the remote turn on, the ground and some other wire. Doubt they will be getting that radio to work anytime soon. Still Im so pissed that they had to mangle my door to do this and did it in the middle of the day.

I've used JC Whitney a lot when ordering parts for my motorcycle, and never had a problem with them. As long as you know what you need and order the right part, you shouldn't have a problem. The only thing that I've found JCW to be unreliable on is the shipping. I've ordered things from them and had them get to me right away on some occasions, and on other occasions have had to wait a long time. I know part of that delay can be because of their suppliers, which isn't entirely their fault. But overall I like JCW and I plan on ordering quite a bit of stuff from them for my truck project.

I saw an ad for LMC one day while watching Horsepower TV and I ordered a catalog. Are you guys saying I should not order anything from them?

I used the stuff from JC Whitney on my 73, it worked very well.

To get the window glass in, you will need to remove the vent window. It is a lot easier after doing that.

I've had to some fiddling over the years to get the JC Whitney ones to work right. They don't leak or whistle, but you do need to adjust and lube the tracks or the windows will be REALLY slow...

Shipping was no problem. I lived 5 miles from their warehouse for a couple of years-- picked 'em up myself!
