Saturday I rode the Virago down to the Vicksburg car show and saw some really great cars and trucks and took some pictures. Then on the way home we hit some rain and I got my butt wet. That rain sure stings when it hits the face.
Today I did some yard work for the misses and hung out on the board.

Re-upholstered one of my bucket seats. Still need to finish the other and the rear bench, but it's a start...
One down, two to go...

Yesterday I cleaned up ALL the messy wiring under my dash, that was a chore! I also got an in-line fuse for my tach...finally . Everything electrically in my cab is looking great now...thank the Lord for zip-ties .
After church today I did a whole lot of nothing until I went to a small concert this evening(my buddies band).

Geezer...those trucks really do grow on trees down there in TX! Gots to get me one of those '67-'72 parts trees...LOL!
Did a monster burn-out in the '68 Longhorn to test the posi...then played musical trucks in the barn to organize the fleet. Did a mini-burnout in Theo Geobel's truck after putting a new tailgate on it, new chains and a new bumper. Bought my wife a new 2005 Honda Element...ugly but still a very cool unit...its growing on me.

Friday me and my Dad drove 80 miles to Seguin, Texas in my truck loaded with lawn equipment. Had to saw up a hackberry tree and cut the huge yard at my Grandparents house. It was awesome, that's the farthest out of town my truck has ever been, and we're gonna go back in maybe 2 weeks to a big junkyard near Stockdale called John's Salvage. This guy has 27 ACRES full of old cars and trucks from the 20's till maybe the 80's. Can't wait to get back there!

Washed her for the first time in ages, cleaned the crud out of the bed, as soon as my daily driver Isuzu 4x4 is tested and road legal again I'm starting work on getting the truck back on the road, main priorities are sorting the starter motor out and getting some new pipes on the exhaust from the boxes to in front of the rear wheels as the old ones fell of they were so rusty. I may go stainless if can get a decent price. Then its test time and then sort the interior out and install the HEI.

Well Friday I finished my Certification Welds...which thankfully all passed with flying colors...So now i am just waiting on the paper work before i am a certified MIG welder...I unfortunately had to work Fri, Sat, Sun. But since last weekend was graduation...this weekend i bought myself a little present. I found a set of 67 buckets in good condition, just need recovered....and the catch is i only paid $400...I am very happy with my progress lately...oh yeah and two weeks ago i got my new Centerforce II clutch setup...

Didn't get to work on my truck, but I worked on my girlfriends dad's 72 Buick Skylark, and installed new spark plugs, and got it timed out and it runs a lot better. He recently purchased the car, and it's amazing, how if people change out the plugs, the car runs better..... Hmmmm.........

I helped my buddy out with his 92 Mustang. He busted his power steering rack and oil pan. We had to drop the k member because of the way his aftermarket oil pan is made. Im just glad its an after market k member and a arms and is alot lighter than the factory set up. I was always a Chevy guy when I was growing up. I bought my first Mustang and have been pooring the money and time into it. Its going to get sold for money to invest in my truck though. I havent updated my web site in a long time and have done a whole lot to the car since then but here is a link to my site.

Pensacola one beautiful city. Is it still beautiful? I went there a half a dozen time in 1969-70. Do you have photos of the installation and finished product? I would like to see them.

Lets see....
I wired in a water, oil and ammeter gauges kit, split my spare exhaust/intake manifold for my 250 and sent the intake off for blasting, prepped up my new Dynomax headers, sanded off the little bit of rust and got the first coat of Eastwood header paint on them, weeded the yard while talking to my folks, killed a pigeon that was nesting up in my roof ( :\ ), rewired the factory stereo correctly, did some troubleshooting on the engine and started to get my MC for my brakes out and repainted. I also got new flourescent (sp?) shop lights hung in the garage and cleaned up down there a bit.

Plumbed rear brake lines to the '72 MC I swapped in, finished redoing the exhaust manifolds (blasted & painted, all new gaskets).
Took the entire front end apart on my buddy's Polaris PWC to change the bendix drive for the starter. Let me tell you working on those jetski things is a pain in the >>>>>. |
