Re: My 1st GMC short wide and maybe my last.
I'll tell you how to make $1500 with $200 and a little work.
First, I wouldn't have bought my truck if it weren't a GMC, so there's a market. It might be smaller but there are fewer of them. 69 Camaros outsell 69 Cadillacs now, but it wasn't always like that. Anyway, here's what I'd do. I am not trying to be unkind - I am speaking as a buyer, that's all. You don't mention a price so this isn't criticism, it could be a steal at what you're asking, this is just how I'd get more out of it and sell it faster: - Replace the missing trim - Get rid of that awful wheel and put a stock steering wheel on - Get rid of the chrome valve covers and put stock ones on - Get rid of the plastic fuel filter and bad fuel line - Get rid of the steel rad hose (unless that's stock and I'm just clueless) - Rattle-can rebuild: scrub, scrub, clean, and paint the engine chevy orange - Put a proper black ground cable on the battery, run it to the right place - Fix the antenna - (etc) - If you smoke, scrub the interior and don't smoke in it until you sell it I bet, except maybe the engine bay paint, you could knock that all out in half an afternoon with a few dollars, and it would significantly improve not only the perceived value of the truck but also expand the number of sellers. You're 'marketing' it as a semi-survivor, so all of the stuff I listed caters to that. Weird the engine has blue paint - looks like a 305 out of a Laguna S3! Then put it on eBay, but beware all of the common eBay scams (just read up, I've bought and sold cars on ebay many times, it's not scary but there are some typical scams get tried on every vehicle listing I bet). Best of luck! You'll have better luck starting mid-to-late January too after everyone is done thinking about Christmas and the Holidays.

Re: My 1st GMC short wide and maybe my last.
I'd take a C1500 over a C10 any day.
Lots of good advice in this thread. Patience grasshopper... Gary
